Let me tell you my version of history of salsa.
Salsa is a part of Latin-American programme. This dance still remains energetic, cheerful and vigorous!
Salsa has many variations taken from Cuba, such as cha-cha-cha and mambo.
And salsa is a unique style which was made by immigrants from Cuba and Porto-Rico in 60-70s of the XXth century.
Salsa is the most popular music in Latin-American dance clubs. It is very rhythmic and energetic. It helps to live this life easily, confidently and happily.
There is one more version of salsa dance history. Fancy that salsa could come from the kitchen in Latin-America!
During the holidays numerous families pushed one another in the kitchen, holding the hot pots and pans at the same time. They made different difficult movements, trying not to step on little children, animals and kitchen utensils.
In the rich families the kitchens were big but the servants jump and made the turnings according to the habit. There were no little children in the kitchen and it made much more space.
The servant maids used to slip on the washed floor. They had to be caught few cm from the floor. That is how the famous “supporting” were born. In order to wean the servants from jumping with hot pots, they were put the kernel one leg. But never the less they were on the habit of jumping on the one leg. That is how salsa New-York was born.
