My history of ballroom dancing is very interesting. Now I tell to you about me and my club.
Foreword
Some people ask: “And what is this waste of time for? What interesting is in ballroom dancing!? Think! And I can do it, even learn
faster than professionals!”
But I want to say that this is a very serious occupation and ballroom
dancing is not a waste of time. Any dancing teaches to walk correctly.
And I like ballroom dancing for everything!
In fact, nobody can know all the secrets of ballroom dancing. All
movements are connected to each other . These dances are united system, where without one certain link all will break-up.
Ballroom dances are devided into latina and standart. In latina there are more energetic dances: samba, cha-cha-cha, jive…. But rumba is slow and fluent. And in standart dances are quieter: slow waltz, venski waltz….
But quickstep is quicker!
My history
I study ballroom dancing in a club “Argo”. Even its name says for
itself…. Like the ship, dances can “take you away”. You are keen on
dances and time.
People of different ages study in our club (from 8 till 19 years old
and older). For example: Julia – 15 years, her partner Ura – 15 years too; Varya – 11 years, Maxim – 13 years.
We have very good teachers. One of the teachers is a headmaster of the club. And two other teachers – pupils, but teach us excellently!!! I wish everybody to have such talented teaches!
I have a partner too. His name is Andrew. He is excellent! One can rely
on him.
All of us take part in the competitions. Many dancers, judges and
spectators meet at the competitions . People from different clubs.
My partner and I have already got the first place, the second place, two thirst places and the seventh place.
And now let’s speak about where, how and when we study!
We have dancing lessons in school № 127 in the city Saint-Petersburg. We have dancing lessons in assembly hall on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Only on Fridays we have aerobics lessons. And on Tuesday and Thursday we study ballroom dancing. On Tuesday we have standart, on Thursday we have latina.
I like to go in for ballroom dancing, because it is interesting, entertaining, exciting, useful and fantastic! I advise you to try ballroom dancing!
