Ballroom dancing originated in Italy in the XV century, and then appeared and felt in France. And already in the XVII century, spread throughout Europe.

In the middle of the XIX century, dance became more popular waltz. At the end of XVIII century the people of Australia and South Germany were popular dances: lendler, Volta, matenik, furiante. These dances and became progenitor waltz. There was a waltz in Vienna (in Australia) in 1780-ies. Then he became the most popular dance in Europe and fast-lived.
Samba emerged in Europe in 1905. A merger of the African dances brought slaves from the Congo and Angola. They also merged with the Spanish and Portuguese dances, which were brought from South America. From Angola and Congo to Brazil to bring a lot of slaves, who brought the dance Embolada. Gradually, this dance started dancing in Rio de Janeiro. Plavno all mergers brought slaves moved into a dance – samba.
Rumba emerged on the European continent in 1947. This dance was brought by African Blacks. He stressed the traffic corps, not feet. The rhythm of rumba is more important than the melody. Rumba was introduced in the XIX century in Havana, combined with contradanza. Name of dance, perhaps, comes from the dance groups in 1807 – «rumboso orquestra». And in Spain the word «rumba» means the «path». Any of these names fit the description of the dance.
A cha-cha-cha in 1952, learned in Europe. Renowned instructor Pierre Lavell considered the box as a separate dance. He began to think of a variation to the rumba. It appeared the dance cha-cha-cha …. A more correct version – the name «Guaracha». In this dance a cha-cha-cha has similarities with the clicks of musical instruments in the performance of the highway.
Particularly interested in the history of tango.
Milonga dance tango, and the prototype was in Paris poimel unexpected success in 1910. The dance of a group of flamenco from Spain.
